Our school lunches are provided by Fresh Start: home-cooked meals with an emphasis on locally-sourced and seasonal produce.
To order lunches for your child, you will need to register and order directly with Fresh Start via their online Meal Manager; registration information can be obtained from the office. Orders need to be placed by Tuesday for meals the following week. You are able to order for the full half term, a few weeks or just a week at a time and there is the flexibility of ordering for any day of the week.
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
If you have a child/ren in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, they are entitled to a free school lunch every day under the Universal Infant Free School Meals government initiative.
Hot Lunches for Children in Key Stage Two
If you have a child/ren in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, lunch costs £2.70 and should be ordered from Fresh Start, via their Meal Manager.
If you do not wish your child to have a school lunch, they may of course bring in a nutritious packed lunch.
Free School Meals
Registering for free school meals benefits both your child/ren and the school. If your child does not have free school meals, but you think that they may be eligible because of your family’s circumstances or income level, please contact the school office and ask for a registration form. Even if you do not take up free school meals, but are eligible for them, your child will be able to benefit from pupil premium support.
Please note that if your child is in Reception to Year 2 and receives a free lunch under the UIFSM initiative, they should still be registered for free school meals if appropriate, so that they (and the school) benefit from the additional funding available.
