Children from Years 1 to 6 have a minimum of two one-hour PE lessons every week.

The Sport Premium was introduced by the government to fund improvements in the provision of PE and sport activities for the benefit of primary-aged pupils so that they develop healthy lifestyles.  Schools are free to spend the Sport Premium as they see fit; you can find out how we are prioritising our Sport Premium funding to improve provision and outcomes in PE for all of the children.

A wealth of sports festivals and competitive tournaments are arranged through the Chipping Norton Partnership of Schools as can be seen here and every child from Years 1 to 6 has the opportunity to represent Great Tew in a sporting event every year.

We were awarded the Silver Sportsmark in September 2015 and again in September 2016 and in September 2017 we were very pleased to be awarded the Gold Sportsmark which we have been awarded again in September 2018 and September 2019.
