The school gate is opened at 8:30am, when the classrooms open. Mrs Jenkins, the headteacher, is generally on the gate in the mornings to welcome the children. Parents or carers are welcome to bring the children to their classroom entrances, although many of the older children chose to walk through the gates and into school on their own.
Children should be in school by 8:40am, so that the day’s learning can start promptly at 8:45am.(our official start time).
Please make every effort to ensure that your child is at school on time. If you arrive after 8:40am please bring your child through the main front entrance to the school office where a member of our office staff will greet you to sign in your child. One of the school staff will then escort your child to their classroom.
Morning break is from 10:50–11:05 (apart from Reception, who stay in their setting all morning).
Lunchtime is from 12:15 to 1:15 for all children
Afternoon registration is at 1:15pm and the school day continues until 3:15pm.
Parents and carers are welcome to come to the playground from 3:10pm to collect children from 3:15pm. Children in Reception and Years 1&2 should be collected from their classroom door.
Children can only be collected by their parents/carers or other nominated individuals that have been previously notified to the school. If there is any change to the usual collection arrangements please notify the school in writing in advance or on arrival in the morning. This can generally be done through an entry in the school diary of the child or by email to the office, ideally before lunchtime.
Wraparound provision (from 8:00am until 6:00pm is offered through High Flyers.
