March 2022 – Headteacher’s PA and School Administrator

Great Tew Primary School is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to become the Headteacher’s PA and School Administrator. This vital role will be 35 hours per week, term time only.  The successful candidate will provide efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Headteacher and the Leadership Team in their day to day management of the school, manage the school office and provide general administrative/financial support to the school.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is an experienced PA and administrator with excellent spoken and written English
  • Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, to include but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook, and information management systems
  • Has effective communication skills, and the ability to deal with a wide range of people
  • Is pro-active and self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Has a willingness to learn and adapt and is ready to embrace new change initiatives
  • Is an effective and flexible team member.

Experience of working in a school would be an advantage.

Conditions:

35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Normal hours: 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday (0.79 FTE)

Salary: Grade 7, points 13-17, starting point dependent on qualifications and experience (£23,023 to £24,920 FTE with pay award pending)
